Middle School Retreat
This retreat is in place of class for students in grades 6 through 8 and held in the Parish Activity Center on a specified Wednesday, 5:30—8:00 pm. This event is presented by professional retreat groups from area ministries. Food and beverages will be served. No fee is required.
First Eucharist Retreat
This retreat is for students preparing for First Eucharist only. This will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s School Hall from 9:00 am—Noon. Parents are asked to donate snacks, drinks, and their time to help the children throughout the day. More information will be given at the Sacramental Formation meeting.
Confirmation Retreat
This is an overnight retreat for Confirmation students held at Bishop Lane Retreat Center in Rockford starting Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon on a weekend determined at the beginning of the school year. Watch for information.
Sponsor Retreat (sponsors only)
The sponsor retreat will take place in the Parish Activity Center from 1:00-4:30pm on a Saturday to be determined. We will be focusing on the theology of the sacrament of Confirmation and on your role as sponsor, as well as providing further information about the program and how you can stay involved with your candidate.
After the retreat, candidates and sponsors will meet in the church for our Rite of Acceptance during the 5:00 pm Mass. This is an important part of your candidate’s preparation. It publicly acknowledges your candidate’s readiness to continue to live and grow within the Catholic faith and also recognizes the sponsor as Catholic spiritual guide during their faith journey.
After Mass, all sponsors, students, and Confirmation families are welcome to attend a potluck provided by the Confirmation parents in the Parish Activity Center.
